Kaitlin Kirasich's Web Page

I am a junior computer engineering major and a member of the NCAA Div I Women's Water Polo Team at Santa Clara University. While I am not studying or in the pool, I love to be outside, exploring new places, and hanging out with friends. I enjoy bunnies, peanut butter, and woman caving. My favortie place in the world is Disney World. I have one older brother, Joseph, and two amzing parents, Mark and Mary Kirasich.

Engineering Intern (June 2012 - Current)

  • Implemented the California State University Bakersfield website in raw HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Entered code into a content management system with additional Velocity Scripting code to ensure that secretaries, assistants, and professors could easily change the web content without getting into HTML.
  • Helped wire in PHP forms to a MySQL database for Westside Nursery Seeding Orders.
  • Tested iPhone applications and Web Plug-ins for various Meridian projects.

  • Santa Clara University Women's NCAA Division I Water Polo Team
    Practice 15- 20 hours a week for 17 weeks during the Winter and Spring. Compete in over 30 games during season.
  • Swimming and Running Competitions (Alcatraz Swim Challenge 3 times)
    Placed in the top 3 for each 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz in 50F water. Following the swim, ran 7 miles over the Golden Gate Bridge and back.
  • Santa Clara University Student Athlete Advisory Committee
    Selected by coach to attend advisory meetings every other week with two members of each Santa Clara University NCAA team. Exchanged ideas on how to strengthen team bonds, better enforce or set team rules, and stand as a representative for the women.s water polo team.s feedback to the Athletic Department.

  • Studied Summer 2011 abroad in Costa Rica
    Studied and worked with a diverse group of students and professors in a foreign country.
