PhoneBoy Rants About: Stupid Error Messages

I was going through and making sure all the correct updates were installed on my system now that I've re-set-up Windows 95, and I went to download the Dial-Up Networking 1.2 Update.  Since this is apparently considered a full piece of software and not just a patch, you have to go through the typical sheaf of registration pages in order to download the file.

Somewhere along the way, I encountered a page that asked for my fax number, and had a check box saying, "I do not wish to receive unsolicited faxes." Since the fax machine shares the voice line, I checked the box.  Then I thought that since I didn't want to get any faxes, and there was no place to denote "call first" in their itty bitty section for the fax number, I left the fax number blank.

Upon clicking "next", I was dumped back to the previous page again with a note at the top saying that some material was missing and I should rectify this before continuing, and to consult the list as to which required items were absent.
